Microsoft have announced an upcoming price increase to Office/Microsoft 365 products. The price increases are to come into affect during March 2022, and you can expect to pay an extra $2 to $4 per month, per user on top of what you’re already paying.
The price increase is attributed to the “Continuous Innovation” of their product suite, which is hard to put a price on as there is no real competitor to their Office Productivity solutions. They’ve tried to soften the blow to business by including some Teams Communications licensing as part of some of their licensing SKUs.
In our opinion, there’s an unavoidable monopoly here that does produce quality products that undoubtedly help your business, especially during Covid. Does that justify Microsoft increasing pricing during a pandemic? That’s not for us to say, but we’ll be paying the additional costs just like everyone else.
